Ryan's Birthday

Today is Ryan's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RYAN!!! As I figure it, you turned 37 today! Hard to believe. (Mostly that I have a child that old!) Ryan is a good son, husband and father. We love him and love that he is part of the Larkin family. Thanks for joining our family 37 years ago. We all love you. Enjoy these photos from their last visit.

Mom's Birthday and Stomach Flu

My birthday was July 18th. As you all know I turned 60! Truthfully, it was a little hard for me to celebrate this one. I spent several days steeling myself for it. The morning was quiet and then Dad and I went to a 3 hour meeting for the singles advisors. The YSA are having a state-wide conference in August. There is a whole lot of planning involved. We hurried home to greet Alan and Tammy and the girls for a barbeque dinner here at home. Within the hour of their arrival, Mari got sick and threw up. Within the next two hours, everyone in their family but the baby was throwing up. They were all so ill, they spent the night...even though they had not planned this. We had invited Linda. She was there also. So present opening and cake and ice cream were interesting. Everyone was a little green by then! The kids left the next day, still feeling rocky. Linda, Dad and I have not caught it.(Thankfully). But it was not the funnest celebration. Dad only got these two photos and I didn't take any. (I was busy helping with sick people). So this is it. (And I had to crop them in cause Dad stood so far away. Oh well). Hope our next event is a little more fun!

This is me blowing out the candle. (Note...one candle!) Dad took this photo first. My reaction is to Juliette enjoying the singing of "Happy Birthday".

Calendar Pages

As you all know, I designed a calendar for 2009 in my scrapbooking program. I was going to have them printed and give them all to you, but that did not work out. So I am putting them on the blog so you can all at least see them. I highlighted each grandchild in the order they were born. I hope you enjoy them. Perhaps I will make an updated version for next year. I've wanted to do this for years. The babies have all changed since I designed these, but they are fun to look at. I love you all and hope you are enjoying the blog. Mom

New test

My first try at sending email posts didn't fly...so I think I have it now. This additional post is to test it out. Love you all. Mom

Email notification

I just tried to adjust a setting so you all will be notified of our blog whenever I post. I hope it worked. We'll see.

Fourth of July

We enjoyed the Fourth of July with Alan and Tammy and the girls. They arrived around 4:30 and we all ate and the girls went swimming with Alan. Earlier in the day, we hosted the Branch party with the young singles being there from 2 until 5:30. We had a good day with a good turn out. Dad was barbequing all day, but the food was good. I handed my waterproof camera over to one of the girls in the branch and she enjoyed taking pictures as they enjoyed themselves. Then Alan and Robynn also took the camera into the pool and each took more photos. Love the camera and love having fun pool pix. We missed all of you and talked to some of you on Skype. It's a fun way to say hello. Hope all of you had a fun 4th, too. Enjoy some of the photos from that day. Love, Mom

Robynn, loving the underwater fun in the pool.Juliette and her Dad in the spa. She really loved the pool, even though she may not show it on her face. Mariana is half fish. She loves to use the snorkle and was under the water as much as she was on top.
Juliette, looking like her older sister, Robynn. She's a cutie.
Mari loving every minute of the pool.
Robynn, enjoying the fun.
